The Opposite of Loneliness: Essays and Stories by Marina Keegan

5.0

This is a collection of stories and essays published after Keegan was killed in a car crash shortly after finishing her undergrad degree. The talent displayed here is really noteworthy, especially considering that she never had the chance to give these pieces the final polish she might have wanted before publication. The story behind this book makes her musings about the future, contemplations of death, and insights about light somewhat haunting. She was clearly a very skilled writer that was lost way too soon.
