Still Alice
by Lisa Genova
Really enjoyed this novel. Genova did an amazing job conveying the impact this disease has on the person it is effecting as well as those close to them. I found it interesting how she would foreshadow the coming changes in Alice's condition with slight changes in narration, specifically the doctor's office scene being closed in the narration of stage blocking. I also truly loved how the tragedy also made this family stronger despite Alice's inability to connect through all of it. Looking forward to discussing this soon!
