I wanted to love this book as it was the first trans baseball book I had come across but I just couldn’t connect with the characters or the journey they were on. There were many disabilities highlighted and I think that it was maybe a lot to juggle on top of the storylines because it felt flat and uninspired when it was brought into focus. The baseball games were fun to read.
