Rock Paper Scissors (RPS) was my favourite book I've read in years, so I had such high expectations of this going in. Whilst I adored the writing, and loved the characters, I was disappointed in myself for not just going with the flow and trying to figure out the twist.

The twist in this book was something I saw coming from about 1/3 of the way through, and because its such a great book, I read it trying to work out if I was right the rest of the time! It meant that I was reading into every conversation and working out if things were phrased one way or another, and it was so clever to see how it was being done during the book than being shocked at the end like I was with RPS. But... I will say, the ending of this book was much more pleasing than that of RPS.
