This volume holds some very important points of development for Yuki, Kyo, and Kagura. There are even some smaller (but still important) ones for Hatori, Kisa, and Ayame.

Honestly, I think I preferred this part of segment of Fruits Basket over the anime version. Kyo is absolutely precious and it's much easier to see Shigure's god complex as it relates to those in his life. (That is, you can see his scheming better.)

I love the cast of characters in this volume, which is saying something because Shigure is usually repulsive to me.
