I read this book because my English teacher recommended it to me, so I went in with really high hopes. Said high hopes were repeatedly crushed as I continued to read.
First off, I never connected with Gemma's character. She comes from a rich family, she willingly talked to a stranger way older than her, and honestly even as the book progressed, she just felt flat.
My other qualm with this book is Ty's redemption. Using his sad backstory and "good intentions" doesn't justify his actions. I don't care how hot he is, he's a creep that has been stalking Gemma since she was a literal child. There is a nine-year age gap!
