I liked the book, but there were things I did not like. I felt like the FMC came off as just young, insecure and a bit desperate instead of a powerful necromancer until a bit later in the book, but I suppose that was the point. For the first half of the book, it felt like a YA book until we saw some of the gore and smut, I wish this had been the whole story. It also did not make sense as I was reading the book why the MMC was into the FMC at all. I felt the connection later in the book, but I probably just prefer a little more of a slow burn and this felt pretty quick. The MMC also did not come off as scary or intimidating at all, which would have also added to the story a bit. 

I also feel like the ending should have been longer. It felt a little too easy and a bit rushed. I did enjoy the twist in there! 

I did like the premise of the book though, I just wish it felt more adult throughout the whole story.
