I'm a fan of Lord John Grey in the Outlander novels and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel which was told entirely from his POV. The story had a very Sherlock Holmes feel about it, which I really liked since I'm a fan of Holmes and smart mysteries. Gabaldon impressed me again as a writer; while the subject matter and genre were very different from her Outlander novels, her skills as a writer were still exhibited magnificently. I'm looking forward to continuing my read of the other LJG stories. Solid 4 stars for me.
