The Mom Group
by Jennifer A. Jones
Absolutely loved it.
A story about a woman called Erika married to a VP of an org whose children have now grown up and flown the nest. Erika finds herself with too much time on her hands and is more lonely than bored. The only thing to keep her company now is her dog, Ozzy. Erika joins a group she finds on social media called, The Mom Group. She isn´t received particularly well and decides to take matters into her own hands. You will need to read this as I don't put spoilers in reviews.
Do I agree with some of things she did, not really but I can see how someone would do what Erika does and you know each to their own if it is the only way they want to handle situations.
However, soon things become even more desperate for poor Erika, when she suspects her husband is cheating on her and not only that, with one of her new sort of best friends. Erika again takes things into her own hands by become a super sleuth to try to catch her husband, Levi and her friend Beth together. To find out what Erika does and if he is even having an affair you will need to read the book.
The things I loved about this book was that it could so easily happen to anyone, and I truly can see people out there doing what Erika has done to get her own back, so it´s almost believable.
I felt for Erika, she just seemed a lovely woman who was at a point in her life where she wasn't sure what to do and loneliness had crept up on her in a big way, then coupled with believing her hubbie is having an affair. You just can´t help but have deep empathy with the woman.
It´s a really good book and extremely well written and definitely gets my vote of 5Stars. Well done Jennifer, a brilliant book.
