The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

4.0

okay so i absolutely love the concept, but the execution was a little......off. it felt like the author left quite a lot up to the reader, I wish he would've told us a little more than leaving it to our imagination.

on a more positive note, I am very pleased with the ending! who would've thought? it's quite tough to get the endings right with books like this, and I was a little skeptical at how he was going to end it, but I'm really happy with how it ended. about nora.....i don't really feel anything towards her? she could've been replaced with anyone else and i wouldn't really care. that's a problem. i don't know where it went wrong, but either she just came off as very flat, or the author spent a little too much time writing mrs. elm. she gives off main character vibes, nora, move out of the way sweetie, we want mrs. elm.
