How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn

2.0

I finished this only, and I mean only, because they had two actors reading the main voices, each reading their own lines in spite of having separate POVs, and the full cast reading. Production and direction and acting wise this was a masterpiece and I wish every single audiobook received this treatment.
Unfortunately the book itself was not as enjoyable as the production. The story drags and it's incredibly predictable, the sex scenes are a bit deranged for an audio adaptation (that was a ehem "creative" use for a candy cane! Such filth for a Christmas story lol) and the fact that you yell aloud in the book itself the trope it's portraying doesn't take away from the fact that the miscommunication trope deserves to be buried and never ever used again. Ever.
