A Lot Like Adios by Alexis Daria was an effortlessly realistic and diverse adult romance novel. Dara did a great job of incorporating both the steam, and the plot content. What I have enjoyed about both of her books is that she places a focus on the individuals on their own, as well as how they contribute to the developing relationship. I enjoyed this book for various reasons, including the incorporation of a fanfiction that the main characters wrote as teenagers. It was fun to read that because there were many parallels that could be observed as the characters' relationship progressed. I was glad to see nods to the primas of power, first introduced in You Had Me At Hola. Gabe is both a hawt-ee and a sensitive, deep person. I feel like a lot of times I will read about or hear about characters who hardly have substance. I really like that we got to see Gabe's vulnerable side, and how the relationship dynamic between his parents changed over time. Go read this book if you haven't already! Will definitely be reading both of these treasures again for comfort. Sending love!
