In the Labyrinth of Drakes by Marie Brennan

4.5

As good as all the rest have been! I really enjoyed Suhail's developing relationship with Isabella and I thought the Akhians and the desert were a great bit of worldbuilding.

I'm a bit skeptical of the plausibility of the "incubation enviroment induces dramatic mutations in dragons" bit, but it was an enjoyable ending. I liked that this climax focused more on the scientific aspects and less on political/military ones.

Also, I love Andrew and am glad he had a greater role in this book.
