Recipe for a Charmed Life by Rachel Linden
3.0

I really struggled getting into this one. I didn't care for the main character at all. Even the "best friend to the rescue" scenario in the beginning made no sense as the familiarity was odd between the two. It was so obviously full of plot holes and cliches that it felt a little uninteresting. I almost didn't finish it but kept going with the hopes it would get better.

The charmed aspect made sense, but was a little too forced especially when dealing with estranged familial ties. The story lost some of its flow because of the strangeness in relationships in regards to plot and theming. Sadly this whole story just didn't capture my attention enough to fully enjoy it.

I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read Recipe for a Charmed Life.
