arae_ofsunshine 's review for:
Leo
by Mia Sheridan
Mia Sheridan's books are addicting, and I can't wait to get my next fix.
Tropes:
-Mistaken Identity
-Childhood friends-lovers
-Second Chance
TWs/CWs:
-SA of minors
-Abusive/Negligent parents/guardians
Evie has been through hell since she was little, but she still has a sunny disposition on life. She worked hard for everything she has, and she still goes the extra mile to help others. She's lovable, kind and easy to root for. The past few weeks she's noticed a man following her around town, he always keeps his distance, but a well trained spy he is not, and one night Evie confronts her shadow. He claims to be a friend of someone from her past, someone she thought had forgotten all about her.
Evie Leo when they were younger and they had an instant friendship. They looked out for each other and told each other everything. As they get older they are put in different foster homes but they still maintain their friendship, and in their teens that friendship turns into love. And the Leo is adopted by a family and they're moving across the country. They make promises to be each other's, and in 4 years when Evie is 18 (Leo 19) and out of the system they would met back up and be together. They promise to write to each other, but Evie never hears from Leo again.
They story is predictable, but it didn't bother me in the slightest. The story was sweet and heart warming, and definitely had a lot more smut than I thought it would. I can't wait to read another Mia Sheridan book.
