This book was a pleasant and effortless read. I found that overall I gelled with the main character, although I must admit feeling a tad uneasy about his interactions with almost all of the women and his passive acceptance of their advances. Also his description of the 15 year old was very dubious.

The overarching storyline followed the typical whodunnit formula, with an investigator out of their jurisdiction diving into the mystery and, of course, uncovering the truth with mere minutes to spare. Nevertheless, after reading some more serious books recently this lighter story was exactly what I craved.
