I was so worried going into this book that my love for the series, the characters, and the writing would drop. However, I am pleased to say that Jessica Townsend's writing is amazing. Morrigan is amazing, one of the best characters I have read in a long time. Character relationships grow and Squall is... perfectly creepy and manipulative . The one downside is I was annoyed with how little time Jupiter spent in the book and his interaction with Morrigan. I understand he was busy, but it was a tad frustrating. Although it did make me enjoy the times he interacted with everyone. Also, I felt the change in pace very quickly and knew it wasn't fast paced like the first one, which was disappointing. However, the last part of the book was phenomenal and made up for the slower pace and annoying moments with characters. I gasped, eyes were wide, and I read it all in very fast and very excitedly and finished loving this book. Without a doubt, these are the best books I have read this year. the concealment department video moment was a bit creepy and I was also wondering what the hell was going on along with the characters, but Townsend later explained it. Also the Elders really bother me, I had a suspicion of the letters but thought it couldn't be possible because it seemed cruel, until it was revealed
