House of Koi

Look at the cover! Ain’t it pretttyyyy??? I thought this book is written by an International author but it certainly is not! A proud Malaysian reader here hehehe..
At first, I hesitated to pick this up because I’m afraid it will not suit my age. And I was right, this book certainly suits younger readers (middle school-YA). However, I like the theme it portrays- family, friends and of course the Malaysian food and cultures thus I’m giving it a go.
This book gave me the vibe of Hlovate Tunas, a girl moved to a different school, different environment and meeting a whole lot new friends and… an undeniably attractive boy ♥
But it doesn’t seem so.. most of the time I felt like slapping Mila but thank Sean for keeping my feet on the ground. He is such a realistic fictional boyfriend I wish I’d met then
