I first read this as a freshman in college, and I really appreciated the discussion I had about the book. I reread the book some years later, and I still feel that this book is an important piece of literature. It talks about environmental issues, government corruption, theology, drug abuse, and the lack of resources. It’s a very heavy book, but definitely covers topics that need to be discussed.
