100% mood reader, and this was working with my mood. It was like watching a trashy movie or sitcom because reality was just too much right now. Or eating cake for breakfast and lunch because making a meal is too much work.
It isn't for everyone, Alexis's inner dialogue could be annoying to some, but I thought she was funny. The differences in what humans and Spartans thought about each other's worlds and past experiences caused most of the issues. The men are toxic as can be. I saw the development between 2 characters and Alexis, but the very ending didn't make a ton of sense to me because I didn't see hardly any interactions that would have resulted in the reactions.
If you have read Jasmine Mas's Psycho Shifters Series, this is really similar except with a different fantasy / mythology world.
