Meh. I don’t know if the writing has gotten worse since the original Housemaid or if I’ve read too many properly written books since. this reads like 8th grade level Lois Duncan that Freida often mentions. I’m not saying I could do any better, but I don’t understand how it has such high reviews. It was painful to finish but I wanted to see what her plot twists would be this time around. yawn
