I've read other short story collections from Paul Tremblay and liked them well enough. These just really didn't resonate with me though. I remember almost nothing about the stories, except that the last one had animals for characters and was written in sort of a free verse style. I found it hard to read, but YMMV.

ETA: last book finished in 2024. Yay.
