I desperately wanted this to be 4 stars but I couldn’t get past Taylor’s opinion of herself. It was low and it definitely was something she struggled with throughout her life. At the same time, I kind of hate that it took a man for her to get past it. And then when he left the picture she fell right back into hating herself. It also felt like her low self esteem was solely a plot point rather than genuine. She seemed completely indifferent to it until it was convenient for the storyline that she was hampered by it, and then it seemed to disappear just as quickly.
