Seven Summer Nights by Harper Fox

4.0

Really really lovely slow burn. Well, 'slow'. It takes place in a very short time period, which makes some of the romance pretty hard to believe, but once you resign yourself to the fact that that is the schtick, and it's all happening in seven summer nights, the romance and the poetry of their romance and just how weighty it feels... it's all extremely lovely. I loved both characters, I loved the small town cast of characters, I loved seeing them claw back hope out of themselves and the world.

The supernatural aspects of the book kind of threw me for a loop, and while fantasy is one of my favourite genres and I fucking LOVE witches, I kind of think the book would have been better off without it? Just didn't seem to fit.

Really enjoyable read over all.
