The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood

WOW. what can I say about this one? it really had me hooked from the moment I picked it up until the end. this book feels so important to me in 2019, we of course haven’t gotten that far in society, but the way women’s rights keep being debated by old white men in Congress really stands out right now. margaret atwood provides such an honest depiction of Offred, (though I believe the show has officially named her June), I could really empathize with her plights even though I’ve never been in any situation like her. just reading about this woman going through all that because she’s a woman makes this book terrifying and such a great think piece. cant wait for The Testamnets out soon, the ending left me craving for more
