Your Name

it’s hard for me to express how much this book and movie mean to me. i’ve owned this book for awhile now but just now allowed myself to read it, knowing it was going to impact me just as heavily as when i watched the movie for the first time. i’ll never forget getting off of the plane ride to japan, telling my friends “i just watched the most amazing movie…” and hearing they had all watched it at the same time, too.
the only thing i have even remotely negative to say about this is that sometimes i really struggled to tell who’s point of view i was reading. i know that’s partially the point, but that aspect of this story just comes through better in the visual format.
