I have really enjoyed this series of books, but this was definitely not my favorite. It took me a very long time to read the entire book, and it wasn't due to size. Not that it was a bad story, I just didn't enjoy it as much as the previous stories. I kept trying to figure out what I didn't like, and I just can't put my finger on what was "wrong". I love the imagery, I enjoyed the plot twists and turns. I think it had to do with the hangman being who I see as the hero of these stories, and he was ineffective.
