Divine Rivals is one of my favourite books. It lives in my head rent free and I have read it countless times just on its own.
I so badly wanted to love Ruthless Vows in the same way because it was the continuation and there are absolutely aspects that I did love, but it just fell flat for me. I had been sitting on this book half finished for such a long time, and I finally wracked up the courage to finish it and admittedly, it left me in tears, but I felt that there was still so much left unsaid and it felt so rushed at the end.
I would absolutely recommend this duology to everyone, but I wish there was just… more, from Ruthless Vows.
