So, you all know I’ve been having some trouble reading romances. I always find them implausible or clichéd or just stupid. I LOVED THIS ONE! It was sweet and smart and funny and for someone who has seen You’ve Got Mail a gazillion times, completely on point with its rom-com obsessed heroine, Annie. And all the side characters were great. I especially loved D&D playing, Star Wars obsessed Uncle Don. This is a light frothy read in the best way. And no bodice ripping which I can’t stand anyway. READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW. Especially if you have any love for films of the rom-com persuasion. I’d love to see this made into a film. It would be so META.
