A reflection on love, loss, travel and belonging, From Scratch weaves Locke’s younger love story together with her post loss grief journey. A poignant lament with a sprinkle of hope that is both heart wrenching at times and calming in others. The quote “Belonging requires claiming” in particular will stay with me for life. Looking forward to seeing the Netflix adaptation soon.
