I have mixed feelings about this book. The first 3-4 chapters were pretty hard to get through. The corniness was laid on a bit thick. But as the story progressed and we get introduced to our characters, there were so many great moments through out! I found myself laughing out loud, rolling my eyes and kissing my teeth at the shenanigans going on.

Kiki and Malakai are a very cute couple but the journey we had to take for them to get together was tumoltous. I so wasn’t into the thread act break up and the public displays of affection in trying to win each other back was surely a choice! I wish the epilogue was farther in the future so we could see how Kiki and Malakai (or Aminah and Kofi) are instead of hearing about this election that’s taking place.

Seeing characters actually progress and grow and change over the story was cool to witness. I just wish the ending  wasn’t  so  rushed. Overall, it was a cute read and I enjoyed it!
