Dreadful
by Jana DeLeon
3.5 stars, rounded up because I love this series so much.
Of all the books in the series, this one was my least favorite. The plot was a bit more basic & predictable, there were more errors (spelling names wrong and such), and the writing seemed slightly more stilted.
I also noticed in this one that one of Jana DeLeon’s favorite phrases is “xyz knew the score”. There was one chapter that had it 3 pages in a row. Not something that bothers me too much, but it gets noticeable at that point haha
Overall though, I still loved this book, the new story, and the connections back to the core of who Shaye is. On to the next!
