Firstlife
by Gena Showalter
Okay, so I have mixed feelings with this book. I really, really liked the premise. I thought it was original, interesting, and I like the concept of the two different realms. I also really liked both male characters in this book more than I liked Tenley. She was fine - I didn't care for her either way but I found I was really invested in Killian and Archer's wellbeing.
I thought the book started off great, it was fast-paced and the story got going but it took me to almost the end of the book to fully understand the world they live in. There was little world-building in this story which made it hard sometimes to read because things seemed to happen randomly.
On the other hand, I thought the book had a consistent storyline. The plot was great, I enjoyed the ending and I do feel like I will pick up book two if I have the time.
