After the End by Amy Plum

5.0

I have to say that this book was a lot more than I expected. I'm not saying it was bad, because it's not. It's truly amazing. It's one of those books you don't see on every single shelf at the book store. It's different.

Juneau was an amazing character. You could see the character development throughout the novel. At first she was stubborn and didn't want to believe of the lies she has been told. She began to trust Miles and fall for him.

Miles can be such an ass at times but I just loved him. I hated how through most of the book, he wanted to deliver her to his father even as he fell for her.

Miles and Juneau are really well together. Together they want to make each other a better person.

Whit. Well I don't know. First he seemed like a nice guy but then he hunted down Juneau. I don't really trust him. He better prove himself.

Overall it seemed like a different book. Most post-apocalyptic books follow the same plot. There's a war and some kind of diseased people hunting down the survived. This isn't like those. It's hardly a post-apocalyptic, but it makes you feel that way when you see it through Juneau's perspective.

This won't disappoint.

I am expecting a good sequel. Can't wait.
