Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers

2.0

I'm in two minds about this book. The writing would drop these fantastic poetic lines which were lovely to read, but they were strung together by an uninteresting plot line. I just wasn't invested in the characters and their journey; the conflicts felt baseless. It also felt repetitive at times - the same metaphors or ideas would be brought up only for nothing extra to be added? So while the words were pretty, it did get tiring to read. One BIG PLUS of this book however was the physical affection and care we get to see between the characters and their friends; the way these friends show their care for eachother is lovely and gentle (apart from when they are miscommuncaiting violently).
