When I talk about how important 'Romance' is within genre-writing, this is the type of book that I am talking about. Here We Go Again is a beautifully constructed novel that has all your favourite romance tropes and plot points with the added bonus of ACTUALLY EXPLORING THE CHARACTERS.
Sure there are times when it is cheesy or cliche, but when you pick up a romance novel that is kind of a part of the deal. What has always made me a fan of the genre is how the story can explore the connection between people as well as showing you how they can change or develop. Which this book does super well.
It was heartfelt, funny, flamboyant, ridiculous and so painfully honest. I was sobbing like a baby by the end because how could you not? Granted I would not pick this book if you are after cushy or warm stories because though this has some of that. It does not leave you feeling super amazing but rather a snotty, wreck that has a newfound appreciate for chosen family, the people you love and keeping the promises you made to yourself.
