Fifty shades of the 1800's!
This standalone steamy story walks the reader through the times of 1864 when slaves were kept as property. I was interested when reading this, to hear a different perspective of person in this setting - not a white, rich person, but not exactly a completely 'hardshipped' slave.
It follows Penny (with a very high sex-drive) falling in love with her master Leon Falcon and how they navigate a rocky relationship, with a few twists and hurdles. Although a standalone story, it does leave room for more to be explored in this world, so who knows might come next.
I don't usually go for historically based novels, but I really enjoyed reading it and feel that it would be a great introduction to this genre of stories!
