3.5. i thought that this book would resonate with me with the phase of life i’m in & i was not wrong. i really connected with phoebe & i’m glad i read this when i did.
that being said, i just feel like something was missing from this or just didn’t land in some way, but i can’t figure out what it was.
i did really love that lila was a spoiled rich girl who is entitled and kind of annoying but also totally likable all at the same time. i also loved that phoebe and gary didn’t just run away together in the end, i thought they were both rather mature about it and i appreciated it.
it’s an enjoyable book & i’m curious to know what i’ll think of it when i reread it in a different phase of life
