I feel like I was missing something reading this but I didn't want to cheat and read other people's reviews before I wrote mine. I feel like there was more to the ink (Kerrand's and the squid) and the food/eating/cooking. And the miscommunication. Idk if that's the right word, maybe more like the opposite of looking and at someone and knowing what they think. Here it's like they don't guess each other's thoughts correctly. The book is short and speedy, which I think adds to my feeling of missing something because I went through it fast?
