Hell Bent was everything I loved about Ninth House but with a more engaging plot. Is it flawless? No. Could I put it down? Also no. Is my skin crawling a little not knowing when the third comes out? Yes absolutely. Interdimensional travel, magic, VAMPIRES, ominous vibes, and chaotic good characters that tug at my heart strings?? It's a lot but a lot of all my favorite things. I think stepping out of YA into NA allowed Bardugo to stretch her wings as an author, especially bc she's never been one to shy away from harsh truths and NA affords her the space to write things as they are without veiled verbiage. You get the idea, I love Leigh Bardugo and I love morally grey characters and I love this series. Read it if you like uncanny magic and retribution, don't read it if you don't like guts, gore, and ghosts.
