Beautiful art style. Everyone is good looking, which is appreciated XD.
I really liked the world and wished I could have seen more characters' perspectives on how this society functions.
The vampires' practical business savvy around their "human farms" was pretty horrible to read and made me consider veganism for a bit. I thought it was very well done and very gross.
Many different points of how vampires held their power over humans were established then subverted during the plot, which I appreciated!!
The first third of the comic focuses more on the relationship, then shifts to explore the world and establish the plot. I enjoyed the main characters, they were both good dudes who were trying their best and I understood why they liked each other. The smut was decent, though a bit too much with this art style (but that is a personal preference). Not a great portrayal of BDSM necessarily
I thought most of the side characters were very interesting and entertaining, though some of the antagonists were not as well characterised as they could have been and were caricatured into bad guys. I really like that, arguably, the visions of the world the antagonists' strode for were arguably MUCH more ethical than the current one they lived in despite being more impractical for everyone (ie, basically being anti-factory farming and more pro giving the human species a fighting chance). They are the bad guys because they are otherwise terrible people, and one of the MCs is a vampire and we don't want him to be endangered.
I liked it, I wasn't too sure how the world's conflict was going to resolve the whole time. I actually liked the ending solution XD. Just give the humans permission to capitalism their own blood instead of having the vampire government hold central control over it. It made me laugh, but it actually works well in this world.
My favourite character is Shell's father, who didn't play the role I was expecting at all. He clearly had many strong opinions on how his world functioned, but was coldly practical in his approach. He was ruthless and cruel, but not evil. I liked him.
