Do you like Tom Ellis as Lucifer? If the answer to that question is yes (and it should be yes!) then you will like this book.

Lucas Ifer, (tall, dark, suit wearing and with a british accent 😉) is CEO of Abbadon Inc and King of Sin City and the only person Hannah can turn to when her best friend goes missing. He offers to locate her friend at a price, 7 days with him in return for his help.

This tale is a modern Hades and Persephone retelling with a twist and is part of a series called Claimed by Lucifer.

Whilst this had potential, and I do love Lucifer the TV series, it was a little lackluster and only got three stars from me! (Spoilers below!)

I felt this book had so much potential but it just fell a little flat. The parallels between this and the Lucifer TV show made me read on (who doesn't love a tall dark handsome devil man who owns a club!) but I did feel the romance between Lucas and Hannah seemed a little forced (the sequel does make up for this!). There also was only a little bit of spice and I expected so much more - he is the literal devil after all!

I loved the twist to the Hades and Persephone story however it did feel a little predictable at times and the seven deadly sins night she spent with Lucas as part of her deal didn't seem to go anywhere and could have been stronger.

I did enjoy reading it, especially as I am a sucker for fated mates, but it is not one I would be desperate to re-read.
