I’m not sure how and where I stumbled across Amrou, but when I found out about this book about a Muslim drag queen existed I knew I had to read it. Unfortunately for me, it was only available in the UK and hardcover so I waited a bit and finally got my hands on it. This is an autobiography about their life and experiences being a queer, non binary person and growing up in a Middle Eastern, Muslim household. I genuinely think this book could open a lot of people’s minds and it was a pleasure reading about Amrou’s often turbulent experiences. I think the end really pulled it all together! Well done
