The Grey Bastards by Jonathan French
4.75
adventurous challenging dark funny mysterious tense slow-paced

Although this prose had a slower prose, it had great world building that kept me sucked in and interested the entire read.
Characters: 5/5 - I loved how French used the half-orcs as main characters!
Atmosphere/Setting: 5/5 -Loved all of the world building!!
Writing Style: 4.5/5 - I wanted it to pick up the pace a bit, but honestly that's all I didn't like it in this one.
Plot: 5/5 - Did not expect any of those twists!
Intrigue: 5/5 - I was intrigued the whole way through.
Logic: 5/5 - Despite it being orcs and half-orcs, it all made logical sense.
Enjoyment: 5/5 - Throughly enjoyed this book. will continue the series - eventually.
Total: 34.5/7 = 4.9
Spice level: More than I ever expected. I'd say a 3 or 4. There were 1 or 2 scenes, more talk, jeering from the half-orcs that aren't great "guys" ...
