Yes this book feels like a breath of fresh air.
I liked reading a historical fiction book after so long (although I really appreciate the genre) and this one was a delight. The writing is SO well crafted, so atmospheric and synesthesic I really really adored it. I also loved the touch of paranormalcy.
The writing was also very... Sensual. It is not the most horny NA out there but it still managed to be pretty sensual to me, and that scene in the end! I loved it.
Overall this is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes historical books and good writing.
Also I'm curious about the other books in the series!
