Spare by Prince Harry

4.0

I am not a royal watcher and didn't even know he was getting married, or who Megan Markle was before it was splashed all over the tv a couple of years ago. That said, I have always had an affinity for Prince Harry because he was not the typical royal both in looks and demeanor. It was obvious, from a young age, that he went his own way.
I was, therefore, surprised and somewhat horrified, by he 'institution's' inner workings and the duplicitous nature of this family. He really didn't hold anything back. I appreciated that in this book. I am a big fan of memoirs read by their authors and this one did not disappoint (although there was a little too much muck-raking at times).
