Master of the Revels
by Nicole Galland
I was not as into this novel as the first in the series. I did not like the introduction of a new character that was too perfectly suited for the protagonist group's immediate need, even if I liked the character themselves. It was too convenient. Mel and Tristan were secondary characters when they were the main ones in the first novel.
The historical scenes in the DTAPs were well realized and described, especially with how badly Jacobean London smelled, LOL. I just did not care much for the main plot happening in that DTAP.
