Metropolitan Stories by Christine Coulson

2.0

2.5 stars. I love the idea of this- stories linked by a museum, told from the POV of visitors, employees, and the artworks themselves. It had so much possibility. And there are a few lovely moments here. But the random instances of magical realism seem strange and disconnected, rather than coherent. And while some stories have overlapping characters, it falls short of a connected narrative.
