Starlight by Olivia Wildenstein

3/5🌶️, MF, UF, angels, last in a trilogy, must be read in order, dual narration, Libby audiobook

This is the final book in an angel urban fantasy series that finishes the HEA for the couple in the first book. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan of this book. Many of my issues with this book were the same issues I had with the first - lots of extra details about clothes, shoes and hair (the number of times the FMC complains about her unruly hair is astronomical - maybe if she stopped brushing her “curly locks” it wouldn’t be as “unruly”). There was also a very large portion of the story dedicated to a couple mystery/suspense plot lines that didn’t really capture me. They resolved very quickly for how much of the story they took up, or resolved in the background which I found weird. I also found the romance between the MCs suffered because of the suspense storyline. I had to check back a couple of times because I felt like the story skipped an important relationship milestone (first kiss), but nope. It was barely mentioned. I wish more had been done with the angelic politics and second lives and soul mates instead of human trafficking and assassination attempts. I also didn’t like the MCs. They were so young. The FMC was pretty vapid while the MMC was kind of a jerk. So this story was a big miss for me, unfortunately.
