Tin Man by Sarah Winman
5.0
I checked this book out at the library and bought it after reading the first 20 pages because I knew I had to own it. It is a beautiful, poignant, perfectly-written story about first loves, last loves, and everything that comes before and after. From almost the first page, it wrapped itself around my heart and gave me chills. There is nothing I would change. I was worried that the lack of quotations in the dialogue would bother me, but as I read, I realized that having them in the story would have been distracting. The story is told in an utterly simplistic style, but is one of the most complex, lovely, tender, and sad tellings I have ever had the pleasure to read.
